Lucas

I am Lucas, the son of an activist, and the son of a caring mother. Born in Chicago, Illinois, I was raised there and in Lansing, Michigan, mostly due to being in a broken home. Being the youngest of four, I grew up only-child style, luckily missing most of the childhood beatings from my siblings, but at the cost of seeing them frequently. Because of that, and the quiet homes that I'm used to, I adapt to my surroundings, so I am soft-spoken, like a poet. Ironically, I am a poet. I love finding new writing styles and experimenting with new ideas. I just love the whole process of creation, because what you make is almost equivalent to who you are as a person, and to see it as a piece of art-is beautiful.

As a writer, I dream of finding a way to put the pieces of my life experiences and pour them out on paper, and that's what keeps me from quitting. Finding a way to do that is difficult, and even if it's a rabbit-hole I'm willing to risk it, because without ambition we are all birds without wings, so much potential but no chance of flying.

Joe

I was born and raised in Tipp City and Troy, Ohio. I grew up with sports, corn fields, God, and music all around me. I own three guitars and write my own music and have jam sessions with my roommate on the weekends. I coach a varsity football team that's close to home during the summer along with working on cars in spare time. I like to utilize my hobbies and skills into my study habits. I'm adventurous and looking for new places to explore and new riffs to put on Instagram. I've been trusting The Process and striving to be the best future teacher that I can be. I will be graduating in 2020 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Sciences Education, and I will take my knowledge to high schools to help students graduate and become the best students that they can be.

LaRyia

My name is LaRyia Ferrie and I like to think of myself as free-spirited. I grew up in Jackson Michigan living with my mom, and Jerome Michigan with my dad. Therefor, I have always lived the city life as well as country life. I love to go lay on the beach and clear my mind, but I can never say no to shopping in a big city. I have a 14 year old brother who I adore now as we are older.  My favorite thing to do is vibe with my friends,  listening to good music and expanding my mind. I'm so intrigued by the mind that I aspire to one day be a Child's Psychologist.  Learning is awesome and I can't wait to take in all the knowledge I can involving my major. I'm a happy, easy-going person and I love to love life.

Liz

My name is Lizvette I go by Liz. I am a first gen. student, so it’s not easy. I am 24 hours away from home, but aye it’s so I can get a career so no complaining. I am CAMP student here at MSU. MSU has shown to have the best education program! And that is the major I am going to be pursuing during my time here! I am choosing this career path so I can become a math elementary teacher. I love helping, talking, and hanging out with others. Being there for others, motivating, and inspiring people is what I like! There is no better way to do this than to help little ones while teaching them in class, and helping them when they feel the world coming down. Also letting them know that no matter what school is the way to go. That school and all their hard work will take them out of many struggles! Be not any teacher but an amazing teacher! One who will plant something beautiful in them!
